James E. Tenuto brings over thirty years of leadership and management experience to Renaissance EXECUTIVE FORUMS. Jim has held a number of sales, management, and senior Management positions in the financial services industry. Jim graduated from the United States Naval Academy and served onboard USS Wichita (AOR-1) as a shipboard officer and then as an instructor at the Surface Warfare Officers School. He left the Navy and joined Merrill Lynch.
While at Merrill Lynch he was a member of the Executive's Club and President's Club, exclusive recognition clubs reserved for top producers. He was named the Resident Manager of the Rancho Bernardo office, becoming one of the youngest managers in the securities firm's history. After management assignments in Lawrenceville, NJ and San Diego, Jim was named the Resident Vice President of the La Jolla, CA office. Within twenty months, revenue had increased by over 30% and profits increased by over 40%. Jim was instrumental in recruiting dozens of top professionals during his tenure. He also helped develop a number of sales teams and pioneered effective team marketing resources.
Jim has been named the EXECUTIVE FORUMS business partner of the year, he has twice won the member retention award and has also been honored three times as the Spirit of Excellence winner. This award is given to the business partner whose efforts have had a profound impact on the entire EXECUTIVE FORUMS system.
Jim is the author of Blood Atonement, A Dalghren Wallace Mystery. The book received The .38 Caliber Award for Best First Novel in France. Jim lives in Rancho Bernardo, California with his wife, Lynn, and they have two grown children. He is an avid fly fisherman and enjoys upland bird hunting, cigars, and reading.
