Ed Breclaw started the Renaissance EXECUTIVE FORUMS franchise for the Western Suburbs of Chicago in January of 2002 as president and owner. The business has grown and today there are multiple Forums successfully serving small to mid-market businesses from diversified segments including information technology, marketing, financial services, manufacturing, construction, distribution, non-profit and many others. He received recognition from EXECUTIVE FORUMS, La Jolla, CA as the Franchise of the Year-U.S. Operations in 2004, and the "Spirit of Excellence" award in 2003. He has over twenty-five years of leadership, executive management, and coaching experience with Fortune 100 companies. These include a number of senior management, marketing, and sales positions in the food, beverage, and distribution industries.
His career progressed to positions of increasing management responsibilities with PepsiCo, Superior Coffee, SYSCO Corporation and the Sara Lee Corporation. These responsibilities included growing businesses' top and bottom-lines, reducing costs - in growth and turnaround situations, development of people, strategic planning, increasing market share and improving ROI. Ed graduated from Michigan State University with B.S. and M.S. degrees in food science and an MBA in marketing. He served for two years as an officer in the U.S. Army Medical Specialists Corps, and started his business career in marketing with the H. J. Heinz Company, Pittsburgh, PA.
