Douglas A. Packard brought over 20 years of leadership and management experience to Renaissance EXECUTIVE FORUMS. Mr. Packard excelled at a number of different positions in the information processing industry including: sales, sales management, marketing, international product management and strategic planning. Doug graduated from the University of Maine with honors and began his career with the NCR Corporation in Portland as an account manager in the financial industry. He significantly exceeded goals and received awards each year and thus, after a domestic marketing assignment at headquarters in Dayton Ohio, became one of the youngest District Managers in NCR's history. Following his success in achieving P&L objectives as the District Manager for the state of Maine, Doug was asked to join the development and production organization to drive some front line, customer experience into their culture. In this international product management assignment he lead training events, supported multi-million dollar project efforts and traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Far East, and Australia. Promoted next into NCR's World Headquarters, Doug took on strategic assignments including: emerging technologies, developing and delivering company strategy presentations, and implementing an innovative cross-functional customer team approach that significantly increased customer satisfaction and revenues.
Following his NCR career, Doug signed on with the Reynolds and Reynolds Company and spent several years directing strategic planning efforts. During Doug's tenure, the company overtook competitors to become the number one supplier of information processing systems to automotive dealers. In 2002, Doug returned to his beloved Northern New England and began leading Executive Forums. He is headquartered in Portland with his wife Mary and their three sons. He enjoys golfing, skiing, traveling and cheering for his sons.
